這篇”Bing, Not Google, Favors Wikipedia More Often in Search Results“提出了數據來證明，其實Bing搜尋排名對於Wikipedia更是特別喜愛。

該研究以一到七個字詞的1000個關鍵字當成資料，Google與Bing對於Wikipedia頁面排名在第一名的相關數據如下:

• One word: 64.4 Bing; 48.4 percent Google.
• Two words: 69.8 percent Bing; 63.7 Google.
• Three words: 55.8 percent Bing; 46.7 percent Google.
• Four words: 44.4 percent Bing; 37.6 percent Google.
• Five words: 28.2 percent Bing; 28.2 percent Google.
• Six words: 32.6 percent Bing; 32.6 percent Google
• Seven words: 52.2 percent Bing; 34.8 percent Google.

Wikipedia頁面排名在第一名的最後結果~ Bing 56.9 percent, Google 47.8 percent，顯示Bing比Google更頻繁把Wikipedia頁面排在第一名。

如上面的資料顯示，只有在5或是6個字詞時，Google與Bing有相同數據，其他都顯示Bing更偏好Wikipedia。

Wikipedia頁面排名在Top 3的最後結果~ Bing 79.4 percent, Google 70.2 percent，顯示Bing比Google更頻繁把Wikipedia頁面排在Top 3。

Google與Bing對於Wikipedia頁面排名在Top 10的相關數據如下:

• One word: 99.29 percent Bing; 97.51 percent Google.
• Two words: 91.84 percent Bing; 91.84 percent Google.
• Three words: 78.68 percent Bing; 79.19 percent Google.
• Four words: 75.94 percent Bing; 76.69 percent Google.
• Five words: 74.36 percent Bing; 62.82 percent Google.
• Six words: 69.77 percent Bing; 55.81 percent Google.
• Seven words: 82.61 percent Bing; 82.61 percent Google.

Wikipedia頁面排名在Top 10的最後結果~Bing 84.9 percent, Google 86.6 percent，Google開始比Bing偏好Wikipedia頁面。

以下則是Google與Bing將Wikipedia排在Top 50的統計數據:

也許上述的研究資料並未考慮到關鍵字詞的多樣性，或是搜尋地域性問題，但是已經蠻清楚的顯示Google與Bing都同樣偏好Wikipedia頁面。

Google與Bing對於Wikipedia頁面的處理，不是因為他是Wikipedia，而是因為Wikipedia被其他網頁所信賴，並且因為Wikipedia的內容與結構是他們所需要的。所以如果你希望在Google與Bing的搜尋排名都能夠表現優異的話，應該如我們說的，看看Wikipedia有哪些優點可以模仿的，也許可以有不少的收獲。

如下圖，Wikipedia的頁面有56%的機率會出現在第一名，並且只有8個關鍵字不會出現在第一頁，這8個關鍵字各是Mail, news, trainers, national, sweets, wardrobe, phone, flight (其實如果使用Google台灣來搜尋的話，只有2個不會出現在第一頁)。

這個研究報告來自於”Wikipedia: Page one of Google UK for 99% of searches“，他是透過亂數方式產生關鍵字，地點於Brighton, south England，從英國Google界面中進行搜尋，並且去除個人化等等的影響因素，總共進行了1000次的不重覆搜尋。

這篇”Google Loves Wikipedia – Even the Empty Pages“也說到甚至於Wikipedia的某些沒有太多內容的頁面，也都位居優秀的位置。

我們可以說~Google就是偏好Wikipedia，所以才會這樣，但是如果再仔細思考: 為什麼Google會偏好Wikipedia呢?

我們可以列舉出以下的原因:

(1) Wikipedia具有大量互相關聯的文字內容。

(2) Wikipedia具有優秀的內部與外部連結。

(3) Wikipedia具有語意解構的功能。

(4) Wikipedia具有大量的流量。

(5) Wikipedia具有多國語言。

(6) Wikipedia具有專業的編輯群。

(7) Wikipedia的資料產生與更新快速。

(8) 許多語意工具會以Wikipedia為資料來源。

所以上述的優秀條件，讓Google不偏好都不行，因此Wikipedia才能夠佔據99%的第一個頁面。

上述的八個優秀的條件，我們能夠模仿嗎? 是的，雖然許多網頁無法有Wikipedia的資源，但是部分優秀的條件是可以模仿的。
